About
Raised in Lancashire on a diet of black peas, stock cars and Manchester United, but in self-imposed exile in London since 1997.
After a childhood mainly spent playing football and cricket, I left The North for a subject that i loved – planetary science. My interest in taking things apart to see how they worked (but not necessarily putting them back together) was probably an early sign of my scientific ‘tendencies’. I’ve now got an MSci and PhD from UCL, as well as an ever-growing box of left-over parts.
